School & Homeschool Programs

The Education Department at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League offers a variety of unique programs designed for school and homeschool students to get involved and participate in hands-on activities that benefit our shelter animals.

Current Topics 2024

Gimme Shelter

Through interactive activities students get involved and learn why rescues and shelters are needed and the services and programs provided.

Pet Responsibility
This fun interactive lesson/activity teaches students about what animals need in order to be happy, healthy, and safe.
Matchmaking 101
Through a matchmaking game that takes them throughout Peggy Adams Adoption Center, students will have a chance to learn about and test out their matchmaking skills!
Mind & Body: Enrichment Making Workshop
In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore the basic needs of dogs or cats and help create special enrichment items for our shelter animals.
In Service to the Animals
Help make a difference in the daily lives of our shelter animals by creating toys and treats for our cats and dogs.
