Individual Training

Our individual dog training offers flexible scheduling. Simply register for a session below and schedule a date and time that works for your schedule. Participants may enroll up to once per week to support ongoing learning and healthy energy outlets.

Class Description

Do you have a dog with energy to spare? This class is a great fit for active dogs of all breeds, and is particularly rewarding for working and herding breeds who enjoy having a job to do. This class promises a mix of mental and physical activities designed to challenge your dog’s brain and body.

Class Duration

30 minutes maximum per participant

Class Cost

$20 per session

Requirements to Enroll
  • This class is open to dogs 16 weeks and older who are comfortable around other dogs and people. Dogs should be friendly or neutral in group settings—no barking, lunging, or reactive behavior.
  • All attendees must be fully vaccinated prior to class. Proof of vaccination must be emailed to behavior@peggyadams.org at least 72 hours before attending the class. Dogs without proper vaccination documentation will not be permitted to attend class.
    • Required vaccinations include:
      • DHPP (Distemper, Parvovirus & Parainfluenza): 1- or 3-year vaccine.

      • Bordetella: Required every 12 months (or as required by local law). Ensures protection against kennel cough. Please note: many veterinarians provide this vaccine only upon request.

      • Rabies: 1- or 3-year vaccine (required per local ordinance).

Class Description

Think of this class as an open gym for dogs! This training course gives you and your dog a safe, structured space to work on whatever skills you choose—whether that’s practicing basic cues, improving recall (including whistle recall), or simply burning off energy in a productive way. Our trainers will be on hand to offer guidance, answer questions, and introduce fun, brain-stimulating challenges to keep your dog engaged.


Please note: this course is not appropriate for brachycephalic breeds or dogs with aggressive behaviors.

Individual training is ideal for reactive dogs or dogs who aren’t suited for a group setting.

These one-hour sessions provide personalized, hands-on guidance. Each session includes assigned homework, and you’ll receive a detailed training summary via email to support your dog’s progress.

Our 45-minute consultation is perfect for clients seeking guidance without committing to a full course. The first 30 minutes focus on hands-on training with your dog, followed by a 15-minute verbal consultation. After the session, you’ll receive a customized training plan to continue your dog’s learning at home.

Group Training Workshops

Our group workshops are offered on select dates and have limited availability. Advance registration is required.

Class Description

In this hands-on workshop, participants will work alongside our trainers to help their dog learn basic obedience skills, building a strong foundation for future training success.
