Palm Beach County, FL- (November 1, 2021) The 8th Annual Countdown 2 Zero Adoption Event found 374 animals new forever homes! Seven local rescue organizations joined together this year for the virtual adoption event. Countdown 2 Zero (C2Z) Adoption Event is Palm Beach County’s largest adoption event in an effort to save the lives of hundreds of animals. For the second year in a row, the Countdown 2 Zero Adoption Event was held as a virtual event.
Organized by Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League and Palm Beach County Animal Care & Control, the 8th Annual Countdown 2 Zero Adoption Event began with Virtual Kick-Off Celebration event. During this virtual event, live and pre-filmed videos were posted on social media. There was also a “Virtual Adoption Village” website that allowed attendees to connect with participating partner groups and sponsors from wherever they were! Potential adopters easily viewed adoptable animals and learned more about the adoption process and those who were not able to adopt learned more about how to help homeless pets in Palm Beach County. The 8th Annual C2Z Adoption Event was a week-long event from October 16 to October 23. Over the last eight years, the C2Z adoption events have found nearly 2,300 animals their forever homes.
“We are thrilled that this year’s C2Z Adoption Event found forever homes for so many dogs and cats,” said Rich Anderson, Executive Director of Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. “Although the event was virtual again this year, the mission was still the same – saving the lives of animals in Palm Beach County. We are grateful to all the local rescues that participated this year and those who took the time to find a new forever furry friend to add to their family.”
