WEST PALM BEACH, FL- (November 4, 2021) In celebration of World Kindness Day, Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is excited to announce its new Kindness Rock Garden. This Humane Education program gives children (…and adults) the opportunity to share inspiration through creativity.
World Kindness Day is a global day that promotes the importance of being kind to each other, to yourself, and to the world. The purpose of this day, celebrated November 13th of each year, is to help everyone understand that compassion for others is what binds us all together.
“Rock painting has really taken off over the past few years and we thought it was a perfect time to incorporate kindness rocks to our campus,” said Shellie Kalmore, Peggy Adams’ Education Manager. “Our garden is right outside our new adoption center and if a guest comes in and needs a pick-me-up, they can take one of our kindness rocks. They can also take one for a friend that might be going through a hard time. If visitors are inspired by our garden, they can help us keep the garden growing by painting rocks and leaving them for others.”
The garden will be located outside of the Lesly S. Smith Pet Adoption Center (3200 N. Military Trail in West Palm Beach) and will be filled with colorful, hand-painted rocks. This is free and available to all ages. The initial launch is Saturday November 13th from 11:00am – 1:00pm. Open classrooms for painting and other fun projects at Peggy Adams are Wednesdays & Thursdays from 3:30pm – 5:30pm and select Sundays from 12:30pm – 2:00pm. Art materials are supplied.
Peggy Adams launched its new Humane Education Program one year ago and is proud to offer a variety of programs for all ages.
