WEST PALM BEACH, FL- Now that Tropical Storm warnings are lifted in Palm Beach County, Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League will re-open to the public tomorrow, Wednesday, September 4, with normal business hours and will offer fee waived adoptions through Sunday, September 8. The League is offering fee waived adoptions to prepare for possible receipt of animals from the Bahamas and those displaced in Palm Beach County.
“Our hearts and prayers are with all in the Bahamas and we are ready to help in any way we can. We hope people will support the animals in our care today and those that will need our help tomorrow by donating at PeggyAdams.org/Hurricane,” said Rich Anderson, Executive Director/CEO of Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. “We also urge people to come adopt one or more dogs, cats, kittens or puppies at our shelter tomorrow through Sunday. It’s critical that we clear the shelter for the influx of animals needing our services over the next few day and weeks.”
All adoptable pets are available for viewing online at PeggyAdams.org. They are all spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. If you are unable to adopt but still wish to help Peggy Adams care for these animals in our community and those that might need to find homes after the hurricane devastation from Hurricane Dorian, please visit https://www.peggyadams.org/hurricane The League is also looking for more foster volunteers as well.
Peggy Adams is located at 3100/3200 N. Military Trail in West Palm Beach and is open from 11 a.m. to 6p.m. Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League’s adoption center is open daily. For additional information visit PeggyAdams.org or call 561.686.3663.
