Palm Beach, FL- (February 13, 2018) Nearly 100 members of the Chairman’s Council of the Grace Society of Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League enjoyed a marvelous evening on February 7 at the home of James Berwind and Kevin Clark. The reception honored members’ exceptional support for the League’s life-saving work.
Board Chairman Lesly Smith welcomed guests and noted that “…we are fortunate to be able to help the animals of this County who cannot speak for themselves; that is what Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League’s Grace Society members are all about.” Executive Director/CEO, Rich Anderson thanked Messrs. Berwind and Clark for “Opening your home and your hearts to the League. It is because of our dedicated supporters that we continue to save thousands of animals each year; and with our planned campus expansion, we’ll be able to save thousands more. All programs at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League support the Countdown 2 Zero (C2Z), our partnership with Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control to save every adoptable animal in Palm Beach County. Since we launched C2Z in 2014, we have seen nearly a 70 percent drop in the number of animals being put down at the Animal Care and Control. By 2024 we will be one of – if not the largest – no-kill communities in the United States.”
Guests enjoyed not only the perfect weather and beautiful locale; they also met three adoptable dogs looking for their forever homes while viewing renderings of Peggy Adams Animal Rescue Leagues’ highly anticipated new world-class adoption center.
Few have meant more to the animals of our community than Robert and Jane Grace and the Grace Family. The Grace Society has been established to honor this incredibly generous and compassionate family and to appropriately recognize those supporters who are making it possible for Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League to fulfill its mission.
