West Palm Beach, FL (September 29, 2020) Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is pleased to announce that they have been re-certified as a Service Enterprise through Points of Light.
Points of Light Service Enterprise programs strengthen nonprofit capacity through the fundamental and strategic use of volunteers and their skills to address community needs.
A Service Enterprise is an organization that strategically leverages volunteers to achieve operational efficiency and greater social impact. Service Enterprises are among the top 11 percent of nonprofits in the country in volunteer management and organizational performance. Research conducted by TCC Group and Deloitte shows that nonprofits operating as a Service Enterprise are as effective as peers but at almost half the median budget, and they are significantly more adaptable, sustainable, and scalable.
“Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is thrilled to once again receive our Service Enterprise Points of Light certification,” said Tara Murray, Volunteer Program Manager at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. “This accomplishment strengthens Peggy Adam’s capacity through the fundamental and strategic use of volunteers and their skills to address community needs. We are extremely grateful for the nearly 1,300 campus and foster volunteers who devote their free time to saving the lives of animals in need. Peggy Adams simply couldn’t fulfil our mission without them!”
In 2019, volunteers at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League contributed over 42,006 hours of service totaling just over $1,068,212.58 million dollars in staff savings therefore allowing Peggy Adams to do more for the community.
Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League has completed an extensive assessment, including over 20 hours of training, consulting, extensive internal planning, and modifications to better integrate volunteers in their day to day operations. By achieving this level of excellence and certification again, Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League continues to be better equipped to use the time and talent of volunteers to continue to meet their mission.
