WEST PALM BEACH, FL- (April 8, 2021) In early March, Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League led a rescue effort to save 70 dogs from Texas suffering in shelters whose water and heat had been destroyed in the extraordinary winter storms that hit that region. The rescue took place in coordination with Wings of Rescue and Austin Pets Alive! – the two organizations that took the lead in Texas in managing the rescue of animals most at risk after the winter storms.
More than 50 of the dogs in this rescue went to Peggy Adams, with the rest going to the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County. While at both shelters, all dogs were evaluated and received any follow-up medical care needed before being placed up for adoption. The rescued dogs at Peggy Adams are now at last ready to find their forever homes! The dogs are a variety of medium to large breeds and various ages.
“These rescued dogs along with the hundreds of others at Peggy Adams are looking for their forever home,” said Rich Anderson, Executive Director/CEO of Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. “This is a perfect time to adopt a new furry friend and a great reason to visit our new Pet Adoption Center!”
