Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is excited to announce Fix-A-Bull, a completely free Spay/Neuter Program designed specifically for pit bull-type breeds. Pit bulls are known for their loyalty, intelligence, and affectionate nature. However, they are often disproportionately affected by overpopulation, leading to overcrowded shelters and increased euthanasia rates. By offering free spay and neuter surgeries that include veterinary wellness such as vaccinations, the Fix-A-Bull program aims to improve a fixable problem.
Multiple free Fix-A-Bull spay/neuter appointments will be available every week, starting on Monday, June 24, 2024. These appointments are designated for owned pit bull-type dogs in Palm Beach County only. In addition to the surgeries, all Fix-A-Bull appointments will include free vaccinations and heartworm tests.
“Through this initiative, the team at Peggy Adams seeks to promote responsible pet ownership, reduce the number of unwanted litters, and enhance the overall well-being of Pit Bulls in our community.”, said Sue Berry, CEO of Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League.
The Fix-A-Bull program is made possible through the generous support of Peggy Adam’s Board Member, John Hendrickson, and the dedicated team at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. Together, they are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of Pit Bulls and their owners in South Florida.
