WEST PALM BEACH, FL (April 18, 2023) Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is once again offering week-long summer programs beginning June 5. The School’s Out program is a great opportunity for children ages 6 through 14 to learn all about dogs and cats while helping shelter animals at Peggy Adams.
Peggy Adams’ School’s Out summer program will provide creative activities through arts-n-crafts, making toys and treats for the animals, story time, animal interactions, games and activities, guest speakers, and behind-the-scenes experiences as well as an opportunity to earn some service hours (the number of earned varies per week/guaranteed minimum of 10).
Dates for the 2023 School’s Out summer program for children ages 6-8 include: June 5-9 and July 10-14. Dates for ages 9-11 include: June 12-16 and July 17-21; and kids 11-14 can sign up for the June 19-23 and/or July 24-28 sessions. Program hours are 9am to 3pm. The cost is $275 per child for all five days.

If you are someone you know is looking to volunteer or become a paid summer counselor, Peggy Adams is looking to assemble an awesome summer team. Applicants must be at least 16 years old to apply for paid positions, and 15 years or older to apply for volunteer opportunity. The education staff at Peggy Adams has professional teaching /education backgrounds and degrees. All their staff, teen, and adult volunteers have been screened and approved by the state Level 2 Background Screening.
The Summer’s Out summer program is part of the Humane Education Program that offers a variety of programs for all ages. Peggy Adams’ Humane Education Department believes that people, animals, and the environment are all connected.
