West Palm Beach, FL- (March 20, 2020) Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League in West Palm Beach has some important updates to share with the community about their programs and services.
To reduce exposure to and protect our community from the COVID-19 virus, Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is being proactive and limiting non-essential services. Peggy Adams will be suspending their public Wellness Clinic but will continue to provide End-of-Life services. They will also be suspending all public Spay/Neuter surgeries for owned animals but will continue to provide Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) services as normal.
Today, 300 dogs and cats are at Peggy Adams and in need of new, loving homes. All adoptable animals can be viewed online at PeggyAdams.org/Adopt

Peggy Adams is waiving adoption fees for any animal over one-year old for the entire month of March. The fee-waived adoption promotion is only valid at the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League shelter location at 3200 N. Military Trail in West Palm Beach. *A rabies tag fee applies to Palm Beach County residents. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. To learn more, please visit PeggyAdams.org
For those not ready to adopt but would enjoy providing a temporary foster home, the need is great, particularly for adult cats and medium to large dogs. There are many sweet, adorable animals that would make a perfect foster pet as they wait for their forever home. Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is also aware that some families in our community might need some assistance in feeding their beloved pets due to financial hardship. That is why Peggy Adams is currently offering help, through Peggy’s Pantry, by providing life essential supplies such as wet and dry food for both cats and dogs. Peggy’s Pantry is a program that helps assist families temporarily with feeding their pets. Peggy’s Pantry is available Tuesday – Saturday 10am -6pm and by appointment only. And, to prevent overcrowding at the shelter, Peggy Adams is also urging people to, if at all possible, refrain from surrendering owned pets to the shelter until at least the end of the month, except for if an animal is in distress or its safety is at risk. Peggy Adams is also asking people in the community who find a stray dog or cat to consider holding onto the animal at least until the end of the month.
