The spooky season is almost here, and Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League has plenty of fun events throughout Palm Beach County for October.

Peggy Adams will host an “Empty the Shelters” event Oct. 6-8. During this period, animal adoptions will be available at a reduced price of $50. Those interested in giving a new home to a furry friend can drop by Peggy Adams anytime between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily.

The annual Bark Back Benefit at Bryant Park in Lake Worth Beach will be held on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Family and furry friends can join Peggy Adams for a day of music, food and fun.

It’s a fashionable event, too — a runway show will feature adoptable animals led by emergency responders.

October activities conclude with a Pet Costume Contest at 9 a.m. Oct. 28 at the GreenMarket in West Palm Beach. You can enjoy browsing the GreenMarket and participate in the Pet Costume Contest to win prizes.
