About Me

Hi! I’m Max! 🐾
I’m a handsome 4-year-and-8-month-old Chocolate Lab weighing in at 66 pounds of pure love and affection! I’m a big boy with an even bigger heart, and my favorite place to be is right by my person’s side. Sometimes I can get a little overstimulated because I’m just SO excited about everything happening around me. But the good news is that I’m a great listener! With some gentle guidance from my person, I’m able to calm myself down and get back to enjoying all the love and attention I adore. I also have some adorable bowlegs, which means I’m more of a professional cuddler than a marathon runner! 🛋️💕 And honestly, I think extra cuddle time sounds pretty perfect.
Plus, I’m a Dolly’s Dream dog, which means when you adopt me, you’ll get some fun goodies to take home for me! 🎁🐶

Other Dogs

Dolly’s Dream is a project to encourage the adoption of our “Square Heads” and to help counter the unfortunate stereotypes and myths that some people still believe about these dogs.

Benefits: Waived adoption fee, free spay/neuter, microchip, up-to-date vaccinations, free year’s supply of parasite prevention, 1 free week of “Good Pup” training, complimentary training crate, collar, harness, leash, toy, water, and food bowls.

Save a Senior! We encourage the adoption of our senior pets through our Grey Whisker Club adoption program. Research shows that having a pet helps people lead healthier lives, and the benefits are many.

Benefits: 50% off adoption fee, a comprehensive senior exam, free spay/neuter, microchip, up-to-date vaccinations, and a few complimentary supplies.

The Peggy’s Picks program promotes the cats and dogs who have been with us for 90 days or more. Through no fault of their own, some animals are overlooked by potential adopters.

Benefits: Waived adoption fee, free spay/neuter, microchip, up-to-date vaccinations, 1 free week of “Good Pup” training, and a few complimentary supplies.

If you are able to provide basic care and an indoor/outdoor space such as a barn, garage, warehouse, covered patio, etc. adopting working cats is a great way to ward off pests while saving lives!

Benefits: Waived adoption fee, free spay/neuter, microchip, up-to-date vaccinations, complimentary cat den, crate, bowls, starter food, and litter.

Happy dog with a speech bubble saying we're closing early today.
