Jett is losing hope 💔

After 7 happy years together, Jett's owner sadly passed away. According to family, Jett spent most of his time sitting with his person and watching birds.

When Jett was adopted from us 7 years ago, he was just a tiny kitten. Now, he's back for another chance at love. Jett is friendly with cats, dogs, and humans. He loves head scratches and treats.

In the last week, he has been less eager to come out of his napping spot for treats & attention. We know someone out there can give Jett new hope & new love. Could that be you?

When you imagine volunteering at a shelter, you may picture walking dogs and cuddling cats. But did you know that shelter volunteers can work with our medical team?! Our medical volunteers' jobs include:⁠

🩺 Assisting with examinations⁠
🐕 Comforting animals waking up from surgery⁠

Don't let deadly parvovirus catch you off guard! Be parvo aware! 🐶💩

It's #ParvoAwarenessDay! Parvo is life-threatening dog virus spread through poop. 💩 Parvo lingers in the enviroment and is very hard to completely avoid. So what can you do to protect your pup? VACCINATE! 💉

Puppy vaccination courses & annual dog booster shots protect against parvo, so it's essential to stay up-to-date. If your dog or puppy isn't fully vaccinated yet, avoid areas where other dogs have pooped, and get those shots ASAP.

If you notice parvo symptoms like lethargy, dehydration, vomiting, or diarrhea, seek treatment immediatley. With treatments like the @elanco4pets Parvovirus Monoclonal Antibody, Parvo is survivable. But the sicker a dog gets, the harder it will be to recover.

Parvo is poop - literally! 💩 Be aware and protect those pups!

Our Dolly's Dream Dogs are on a roll! Before he became a Dolly's Dream dog, Junior spent over a month waiting to be noticed by adopters. Just a few days after joining this wonderful program for bully breed dogs, Junior (& his hedgehog 🦔) are HOME! 🏡

Thanks to Dolly's Dream for helping Junior find love by sponsoring his adoption fee & advocating for him!

This big boy was surrendered in January through no fault of his own. Busy schedules meant his family just didn't have time to give him the attention and exercise he needed anymore. 🐕⁠

Now, Malcolm has found new love! And a new name! Malcolm is now Jackson. His family says he loves his puppy sister, who helps him get his zoomies out. Jackson loves belly rubs and is super affectionate with the whole family!⁠

Can you name Renee's breed? 🐕

Renee came to us from Okeechobee County Animal Control. We don't know her full story, but Renee was severely underweight and heartworm positive when she came to us. She's gained 10 pounds in that last couple of weeks, and she's so happy just to be walked and snuggled.

Renee will be your best friend, your foot warmer, your biggest fan, and your weighted blanket. She just wants to be loved!
